Is this a mini or regular dachshund puppy?
I bought this dachshund puppy two months ago; at the time she was about six weeks. I bought her on the street though, with no papers, so I can’t really tell if she is full sized or medium- can anyone tell me? Thanks!

She looks just like my dozie. I have a tween. They are a bit larger than the mini, but not quite as large as standard. These are great dogs! Your puppy is adorable!!!!! Enjoy her.
There are 3 sorts of dachshunds. 1. Standard. 2. "Dvergdachs". 3. "Kanindachs". Yours was pretty tiny, so I guess it’s either a dverg or kanin.

i think it looks like a standard because i have a mini dachshund puppy right now she will be 13 weeks tomarrow and i dont think she is that big. when yours is older you will be able to tell
I think it’s a mini. Standard Dachshunds are usually 12-20 lbs. Minis are below 11 lbs. I have a standard Dachshund.
she looks small now but look how long her tail is! i bet she will end up being a full size. like you said mini’s weigh about 11 lbs full grown if they are not fat. just be careful about her jumping on and off of stuff and watch those stairs, they can hurt their back easily even though they are good jumpers. mine has had a pretty expensive operation just from trying to jump on a small bed. (no frame, just a mattress and box springs) so just be careful it was a lot of stress going thru that.
