Six is a large litter for a dachshund, isn’t it? My dachshund had two litters, 3 puppies in each.

I have never had a litter of pups and we’ve had a few that has gotten fleas. Shouldn’t be a problem.
There was a bug or fle on one of the pups

@TheCubanchica250 The father could have intervened with the birth. My partner’s dog had 6 pups and wouldn’t allow the father near them for the first few weeks until they could walk and see.

@LeonDuhaney Newborn puppies often get fleas, this is normal. They can not be de-flead so young. It doesn’t matter whether the mother is or not they will still get them.
