Judge took it well and recovered quickly to joke about the ‘dog days of summer’
This is the hilarious moment an oblivious dog wanders into the background of a live weather forecast.
Presenter Josh Judge had his broadcast in Manchester, New Hampshire, interrupted when the black-and-white pet appeared behind him.
The forecaster was telling viewers what Saturday morning would bring, pointing to a map of New England, when he was joined by a surprise guest.
He acknowledged the dog mid-sentence, saying: ‘So, the system pulling away right now, and the sunshine increasing and… there is a dog behind me.’
As the dog disappeared from view again Judge chuckled and recovered quickly, saying: ‘It’s not the dog days of summer just yet, but it will be at least warmer than you’d expect for this time of year.’
He asked someone off screen what the dog is called and found out its name is Bella, saying it belonged to a colleague called Amy.
Judge later wrote on Twitter: ‘While I was doing the weather this morning.. a dog walked by behind!!! ‘Caught me off-guard… I didn’t realize Amy had brought her dog to work! LOL.’
The unexpected guest for the WMUR-TV report, and Judge’s good humour, went down well with the audience.
One commenter said: ‘I now demand all news channels to have random dogs during weather forecasts.’
Another said: ‘Love how the guy was just so casual about it.’
And one person wrote on Twitter: ‘That was hilarious!!! Let her visit more often!’
