@VanessaMakesVideos They are miniature long hair Dachshunds, although Hunter is a tweeny, as he weighs about 12 pounds 🙂 Hunter is a shaded red, and Hayden is a dapple. How old is your puppy?
I have a shaded red miniature and a nine weeks old dapple myself. How old is the dapple? I wondered how much of the dapple is still been seen after they grow up. The silver of my dachs is a bit more darker.
How did you teach them to do that?
@lisamizellweaver I taught each trick to each dog separately, then asked them to perform together. For the "hide your eyes" trick, I originally put a piece of tape on her nose to entice her to try and paw it off. Every time she brought her paw towards her nose I would click and give a treat. When she was consistently bringing her paw to her nose, I added a cue, in this case saying "hide your eyes". Last, I took the tape off her nose and waited for her to offer the behavior 🙂

@VanessaMakesVideos With puppies, short sessions are always the best because their attention span doesn’t last for long. Often Dachshunds have a hard time learning ‘Down’ because they are already so low to the ground! Lol, so you might think about catching him when he is already laying down, adding a cue, and rewarding the behavior. Once you get that focus, they are a blast to teach! Just make sure that it is always fun and motivating 🙂
