Dachshunds may have short legs, but they can hustle when they want. No one is catching up with Toby as he makes his break for the door.

Haha! We added a rescue dachshund to our pack a few years ago. She has that same adorable light fur on her face… and the same criminal behavior!!! She likes to dig to the very bottom of the (doggy) toy basket (things will, literally, be flying through the air behind her) to reach the loudest squeaky toy, ever created. Then she waits for someone to get on the phone, sits by their feet & goes to town! Dachshund "parents" understand…

Yes Toby’s adorable but that video would have been a real bummer if he’d gotten splattered by a car in the parking lot. I’m watching out for little kids dashing between cars, not something that doesn’t even rise a foot above the ground.
