Note that most people of overwhelmingly Sub Saharan African descent possess significantly less Neanderthal ancestry than the "1.8-2.6%" figure presented in the video. People did their interbreeding in the Middle East, right after humankind moved out of Africa, and all non-Africans, as well as African groups descended from people who moved back into Africa (such as North Africans and, to a lesser extent, certain Horn-African groups) are descended from this group of people. It’s possible that non-horn Sub Saharan Africans may also possess partial descent from these people, but, since it’s only a small percentage of their ancestry, the amount of Neanderthal DNA inherited by these groups is significantly less than 1%. The possibility of Sub Saharan Africans having any Neanderthal DNA is also disputed, as the percentages are so small, the findings may be a misinterpretation of some kind. As such, saying that all viewers are hybrids may not be correct, although it is plausible with the majority-American audience (Americans of primarily Sub Saharan African descent typically have a fair bit of Eurasian ancestry, meaning that the majority have at least a tiny percentage of Neanderthal ancestry).
With this said, the theory that Neanderthal interaction prompted us to develop our cultures is at best improbable and at worst ridiculous, as Sub Saharan Africans with >1% Neanderthal admixture, and no prehistoric contact with neanderthals, have their own artistic traditions and cultures. The shift to behavioral modernity most certainly predates Neanderthal contact by at least a few tens of thousands of years.

I took one of those genetic tests. It said I was like 80% more Neanderthal than most people. I like to press flowers, hunt large predators, and draw on walls, so maybe there’s something to it.

No; in all seriousness… I’m thinking that the body type differences within the H. sapiens, specifically the somatotypes, might really have to do with the hybridization and the prevalence of Neanderthal DNA. If it were possible to do a large-enough-sample genome survey to look at people with different somatotypes, vulnerabilities, and strengths, I think that western medicine and CRISPR might become a lot more powerful.
Unfortunately, I’m not a biologist, a geneticist, and I don’t have any connections to any of the above. So what I’m spewing may just be a load of crap…
But I really wish I had someone knowledgeable to talk about this or to investigate existing data further.
