I don’t know about the rest of you but I think it’s more like my dotsy takes me for a walk then I take her. She has this subtle way of talking me to her favorite places.

Be careful with him walking behind you like that in the forest. Good place for a mountain lion to grab him for a snack.

omg – he/she is soo cute! my dachshund’s a wimp and doesnt like walking in the snow at all cause his little feetsies get cold! 🙁 lol

I can’t believe that Crusoe loves going out in the snow so much ! My Dolly , also a mini Dachshund , refuses to go out if there is so much as one flake of snow . In fact , she won’t go out in the rain , or if the wind is blowing , and she doesn’t like it when the leaves are falling . In the February of 2013 , she held it in for 23 hours because we had a blizzard and she just wouldn’t go out . I know she didn’t go anywhere in the home where we lived because I kept her on a leash or in my apartment the whole time . I put down piddle pads and even soft towels for her , but no go . She wouldn’t go indoors and she wouldn’t go outdoors . I finally had to carry her out to the sidewalk and tell her she had to pee before her bladder burst !
This is why my doxie is named Pipsqueak or squeakers!!
