We got a runt from a breeder at a discount and he was my best dog growing up. He got big and became a regular dog no health issues.
I want her!
god bless that tiny dachshund. I own a mini dachshund too and he was also the runt of his litter. I can’t imagine life without my baby boy.
I don’t know what they say in Au. , but in California we think runts or the last one born always make the best dogs ! Mine is 11 now and he’s smarter then most people I know ! Your a sweet lady , Lady Fi
I love doxies thanks for sharing not only the little runt ,but what a good loving breeder is like.
Oh my god this is so cute <3
How precious! I would give her love and home in an instant.
I always go for the runt – they make the best companions- had a bully runt that a breeder was going to put down since he was so small- a yr later after a lot of love & time Maxie was bigger than his parents lol (breeder was stunned) just goes to show you that even the tiniest can not only survive but can thrive.
Oh, she’s adorable! She’s likely all grown up by now.
OMG she is adorable…
She called it a pathetic creature…..what a horrible person!
I would adopt her in a New York minute.
Runts have a chance at life thanks to humans. There are plenty of people who will take in a runt. I did, and he’s the most quirky creature I have ever known, and his cuteness knows no bounds.
Thanks so much for producing a video that advocates for saving the runts. If they have survived birth, they deserve life I say.
At 1:30 he ha that "heard you were talking shit bro" look on his face
priceless
What a cute little sweetheart, but I don’t like when they’re called runts. That word has such negative connotations. I think they should just be little ones, it sound much cuter. I would have totally scooped up this little cutie pie :-))))
Go for it…you will grow bigger.. :-))
You’re right! I think the bid is there from wen she was born. ‘Deformed’ arms and a huge overbite. We never euthanase unless a creature is in pain. But she never was. And wait til u see her now! Her name is Heidi and her mum Melody had same reaction to this video as you – and bought her.
She couldn’t get her until 12 weeks of age cos she needed two reparative surgeries for that massive hernia.
If you can check out our Twitter @DachshundAu I retweeted a pic sent from Melody just a few days ago. She must be three years old now. No health issues – perfect!

I would like to say how wonderful it is to read about all the great people that loves the little angles. They are wonderful little dogs I have 8 miniature dachshunds they are our family. One is a rescue , I wish I could save them all.
I’d Love Her in a Minute!
Too cute
I’d take her anyway
Thanks Guys! Her name is Heidi. Her human mum is called Melody and is patiently waiting … she had her surgery at 12 weeks, but it needed redoing. So we r now hoping she can go to her family in two weeks time. At 13 weeks of age she is just 1kg. And what a live wire!
