What Canine Cognitive Dysfunction Can Look Like

This video shows what some canine cognitive dysfunction behaviors can look like. For more information see my book: “Remember Me? Loving and Caring for a Dog with Canine Cognitive Dysfunction” on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B018224Y5Y

Cricket was a rat terrier who was 16 years old at the time of this video and started displaying cognitive decline a year before. For many dogs, at first it can be hard to identify these behaviors, since they come on gradually and also could be due to other conditions such as sensory impairments. Cricket was diagnosed with the condition by my vet and on medication. If you think your dog might have this condition, please talk to your vet. Cricket passed on May 31, 2013. She was well loved and had a good life to the very end.
