  1. Yeah that is how I think because I am always outside when I do it and they never run away… they run towards me when I do it.

  2. This is a great video. I’ve been looking for a dog video that could get a response out of my lazy lab. After searching for several months, I just came across this one. My dog nodded his head from side to side, and watched it all the way through. I think he wants to watch it again. I’m going to play it for him. Thanks for posting this video. πŸ˜€

  3. Why do Doxies just ADORE singing so much? My ‘grand-dox’ (my daughter’s Doxie) sings "Happy Birthday" PERFECTLY – she knows the tone and the lines! I am trying to teach my Doxie (named Roxy, my grand-Dox’s niece) the same song, she’s a slower learner. Of course whenever it’s someone’s birthday they get serenaded in the most special way πŸ™‚

  4. Thank you for your comment.
I also wonder if it hurts their ears when we sing or play instruments.
However, I feel that as long as you don’t restrain your dog while you are singing, then you are leaving it up to the dog to either run away (if his ears are hurting from the noise) or ‘sing’.
A sign that my dog enjoys singing is that his tail is constantly wagging while he is singing and he does not run away.
I secretly think that he enjoys the attention… lol

  5. Hello there, would it be ok if I use your video in my funny pets compilation? I will credit you in the description and comments. Thank you πŸ™‚

  6. So cute! hmm so like I do this sorta hum thingy with my voice and my dogs do things like this… does that mean I am hurting their ears? or they are singing?

  7. You need to learn how to read animal body language. If this was so bad for his ears he WOULD NOT BE WAGGING HIS TAIL AND HANGING AROUND THE MUSIC, he would instead run or walk away from the noise and maybe hide (my dog does that when it thunders – THAT’S HIS BODY LANGUAGE SIGN THAT HE IS SCARED so that’s when I cuddle him). But when we play music, my dog RUNS TOWARDS THE MUSIC and barks while wagging his tail… that is MY SIGN THAT MY DOG IS JUST FINE AND THAT IT’S NOT BAD FOR HIS EARS.

  8. They absolutely LOVE harmonica and will sing along with the utmost enthusiasm. They like some other instruments that way
    too.

  9. We have an ocarina but my dachshund is actually scared of it, lol. I wish he’d sing like this, haha. Maybe a harmonica will do the trick!

  10. "Sometimes dogs will howl when they hear sirens or other loud higher pitched sounds like clarinets and flutes. These sounds may even come from a television set. Dogs do this as an instinctive response to hearing what they interpret to be another howl (dog in the distance). They are not doing this because it hurts their ears."

Just for those who don’t seem to understand that Doxies really do enjoy the music.
