Double dapples are not a "rare" that you should want. Most of them are born blind and deaf. They are a flaw from poor breeding. It’s when you breed one dapple to another dapple. It’s a shame that breeders would do that and create a pup that has such defects. Most of them later in life will have more health issues. =( Don’t encourage breeders to breed Double Dapples. It’s cruel.
I have a white double-dapple doxie, too! He is also deaf. He’s 4 years old. Being deaf hasn’t bothered him in the least. He knows about 10 different hand signals and he is box trained. I wouldn’t trade him for the world. I knew that white double-dapples were pretty rare. Have never seen one until I came to You Tube! They definitely get a lot of attention!!
