I basically started out dragging a piece of deer on a rope around a farm starting out with trails that were 30 yards long reaching out to about a half mile or so. To tell you the truth these two dogs Jack and Lilly brother and sister truley have it in their blood. I really didn’t train them that much, they just know what to do. The video was actually their second tracking job and the first one was about two minutes prior to that!
Hey thanks a lot! That was actually Jack and Lilly’s first tracking job! We have been training them for the last year and they took like a duck to water. Will for sure have the next tracking job up here as well.

Lol, Im getting a dashund to track deer and elk. What kind of deer, it seems just a little bigger then the dachshund’s.

That is so cool! I’m hoping to teach our new dachshund pup how to track, too…so much fun to see your dogs work! Thanks for posting! 🙂
