Dachshunds and Owners Stage Annual ‘Pooch Parade’ in Key West

For dachshunds, their people and everyone who loves
tail-wagging fun, Key West is a doggone good place to
be at noon on New Year’s Eve. That’s when about 175
canine “revelers” — many of them costumed — and
their human companions gather in the island’s
historic downtown for the annual Key West Dachshund
Walk. A few fun-loving dogs from other breeds
sometimes join them, becoming “honorary dachshunds”
for the day.
