Impressive!
Thank you for your comments! You can see my dachshund loves agility. She is over 10-years-old now and agility has kept her in good condition. This past year I have been training a new puppy. She has gotten lessons in agiliy, obedience, flyball, tracking, conformation and swimming, in that order. Agility and obedience can go together, as long as both classes are taught with fun for the dog in mind. I have found dachshunds train best on food reward no matter the venue.
Love the video! What a super little dog! I’ve just gotten interested in doxies and wondered if I could do agility with one. I realize they have to be trained for it, of course, and would take my dog first to obedience classes and then to agility classes before doing it. It looks like so much fun! I love the close-up at the end of Penny’s cute face! Thanks for sharing!
Dachshunds are actually quite agile and very good athletes despite their odd shape.
Great. Really good. DOG
I just started with my dachshund and she is so great! She loves it
She didn’t miss the contact. Rewatch the video, she tapped the yellow at last minute.
Her front paws were in the yellow. The judge certainly thought so too.
My dachs would love this but I can’t run because of reumatism. Darn it. But I love to watch this.
Just barely starting my Chihauhua Dachsund Mix after starting her brother does anyone worry about their backs or do you think it helps
Badgers: be afraid. Be VERY afraid.
Did anyone else see the dog stumble on 0:21
That’s pretty amazing! It’s just too bad he’s too long to go through the weave poles very quickly…
My smooth Dachshund will be ready to start trialing soon – I love finding other videos of healthy, ACTIVE, competitive Dachshunds! Go, long-dogs!
Amazing!
