The pop-up pooch day is run by the same organisers who brought the Pug Cafe to the city

THE opening date for Glasgow’s first ever Dachsund cafe has been revealed.

Organisers confirmed the pooch experience is Scotland bound after the success of its Pug Cafe earlier this month.

You’ll be able to vist the pop-up cafe on July 15 at Pie and Brew on Bath Street.

Hundreds are expected for the doggy day following the huge turnout at the pug event.

And just like the pug day, it’s okay if you aren’t able to bring your own dog along.

The event aims to allow anyone the perfect opportunity to meet lots of dogs and make new friends.

Pug cafe and Dachshund Cafe organiser Anuska said: “Our Pug Cafe events have been hugely popular within the pug community and now we are spreading the joy to Sausage Dogs!

“Our first Dachshund Cafés in Surrey and Nottingham were a huge success so we’re very excited to bring it to Glasgow!

“We just love the city, it’s absolutely thriving and the people are all so warm and welcoming – plus it’s a dog-loving city!

“Our recent Pug Café was a huge success and we welcomed over 250 pugs to Pie and Brew.

“We expect this event to be just as popular and cannot wait to welcome the Dachshunds of Scotland to the Dachshund Café.”

There will be a menu full of doggy delights – featuring PUPcakes, DOGnuts, BARK-scotti, Jammy DOGgers, PAW-ty Rings.

And each pooch will even get their own free Pupuccino.

Dachshund owners will be charged £6 and Dachshund lovers £11.

Booking for the day will go live on June 11 at 9am.
